Can you still lose weight (fat) if you start taking suplements like muscle milk?

I know this is a stupid question but I currently weigh 215 pounds and I would like to get down to 200. I lift weights on a regular basis but I don’t notice any progress because I have extra fat on myself. I just would like to know if it’s better to lose the weight first, or start taking muscle gainers.

    Taking muscle gainers with unwanted fat will just make you look bigger because it’ll just be muscle underneath the fat. To lose weight, aerobic exercises are the best. Weight lifting gains muscle. Probably good to do both of those.
