i want to lose weight from my stomach area and thighs. What is the best diet and workout for that?

    Lose weight, Lose Fat

    If you reduce your calories, you will reduce all over your body. There is no such thing as spot reducing. However, if your stomach and leg muscles are weak, exercising them will improve their tone, and make it look like you lost more weight in those spots. Diet is probably 80% of the equation, however exercise will definitely help with the toned look, as well as helping to keep the weight off. Muscle burns more calories that fat, so the more muscle you have, the faster calories get burned. This is the main reason men lose weight much easier than women. Just cut back a bit at a time. Do not starve yourself. Don’t take second helpings. Cut those starchy snacks, and opt for veg or fruit snacks. Get rid of the sodas and chips, these are for special occasions. The more protein you eat, the less you will crave carbs. Develope new interests to keep you busy instead of rooting through the frig (a dog is great, you take him out for walks, get fresh air, and meet new people who will like your dog). Go for walks (keeps you out of the frig and burns calories)
    Be kind to yourself. One lapse does not a total failure make.

    Just remember that the 5 pounds of muscle has a smaller volume than 5 pounds of fat. You actually do want to gain muscle around your abdomen, torso, and thigh area because when you tone and firm the muscles you already have they will help burn the fat that is already there.

    Follow the advice given for diet and exercise by the other people who answered you. Drink plenty of water.
