Is it bad to go to the gym in the evening after work?

I get off work at 6pm and would make it to the gym by 6:30. But my friend told me that working out in the evening isn’t good to do Your body is slowing down and getting ready for sleep again so going to the gym is a bad idea. However there is no other time I could go. Any suggestions.

    I read that is fine to exercise during the day other than an hour before you want to go to sleep.

    theres never a bad time to go to the gym =P
    that sounds like me though ..with the not getting off work till late and working out late that is.
    I work construction and i go weight train after work..I’ve never had a problem.

    Depends how buggered you feel after work. If you still have the energy then its perfectly fine just don’t over do it.

    Losing weight without starving yourself

    Do your cardio first thing in the morning B4 you eat. Cardio starts your metabolism running for the rest of the day and you shouldn’t do your cardio B4 bed. Do your weight work-out after work. Your body is tired after being up so long and using weights will help build your muscles while you are sleeping and you will sleep sounder.
