How can I loose weight in my thighs? Exercise and diet wise?

Sho lo asked:

I am a female teenager that would like to loose weight in my thighs and butt. To describe my body shape, I have a built skinny stomach, and toned arms. But my legs don’t seem to fit my body! I have a big butt, and thick legs. Does anyone recommend any diets or exercises?

    Exercise and Weight Loss

You would need to do a combo of:

    1. Cardio exercise – jumping rope, walking, biking, dancing, running….

Cardio exercise hikes up your metabolism to higher levels so you’re better able to burn off excess fat from your entire body, to lose the fat (that includes fat in the thigh and butts) and the weight.

    2. Strength-train your thighs and butts as the strength you build into them is actually beautiful lean muscle mass that gives leaner and slimmer shapes to your thighs and butts.

And as you build more lean muscle mass, the higher your metabolism as muscle burns off fat 3 times faster and it also increases your basal metabolic rate (BMR) which is the one responsible for burning off 60-70% of your calories in a given day.

Try out these 2 routines that focus on the thighs and butts which I’ve followed. I have slimmed down my thighs and butts doing these 2.

For diet, eat a well-balanced, healthy and nutritious diet that promotes weight loss.

Don’t go on a “diet”; just eat sensible and smart portions rich in fruits & veggies, high fiber food, lean cuts of meat (beef, chicken, mutton….) and fish.

And don’t skip breakfast. That’s the first meal that can really kick start your metabolism for the day after your body slowed down during the night when you sleep and “fast” (i.e. you cease eating usually after midnight).

If you don’t eat breakfast, your body will take the cue thinking that you’re going on a starvation, hence it continues to slow down your metabolism to cause you to store the fat and preserve the energy, to combat the “starvation”….
